(My kids are not married yet, so I have a little time to "grow up" by learning to be more chill.) "Ham in the turkey just to see what would happen." What happened? It could be the next new trend, right?<br />I made gluten-free pies this year, and it turned out better than I expected. (Oh, the wonders of a new recipe.) But I had a lot of help in the kitchen too. I can't say I completely made anything for Thanksgiving dinner. We all chipped in, and that was fine by me. Maybe I should have had my littlest one more in the kitchen. Thank you for letting me see the wonder of surrender on Thanksgiving.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04759727586303488513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513022067297559508.post-27541957640000827292016-11-27T20:10:20.415-08:002016-11-27T20:10:20.415-08:00Why do we struggle so hard against surrendering to...Why do we struggle so hard against surrendering to let others give us aid? I'm grateful to know that people stepped up to help. I hold on to that hope. I'm thinking of test driving your five-minute Fridays. I want to see how I do (I'm not good at just writing and always feel compelled to go back and edit instead of moving forward with the writing) first. dalenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15554412622681665085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513022067297559508.post-92126826507136022992016-11-26T08:11:40.202-08:002016-11-26T08:11:40.202-08:00It's funny how we often think we have to contr...It's funny how we often think we have to control things to be happy when really there is much more joy and freedom in surrender. I'm glad you had a happy Thanksgiving!Lesleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12698239597149299662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513022067297559508.post-6493267653261377932016-11-26T07:22:12.310-08:002016-11-26T07:22:12.310-08:00We did and I am grateful. We did and I am grateful.BusyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08999619023510410806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513022067297559508.post-38929907667640481952016-11-26T07:21:44.868-08:002016-11-26T07:21:44.868-08:00What a novel idea. What a novel idea.BusyBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08999619023510410806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7513022067297559508.post-70010542494456835952016-11-25T13:55:48.080-08:002016-11-25T13:55:48.080-08:00Sounds like you made some great memories. I set it on low and put the already mashed potatoes inside. I also used a crockpot liner. Closer to our meal around 1:00 I set it on warm. They were delicious and I wasn't having to mash them at the last minute. Sharihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18245401146027815045noreply@blogger.com
