Peonies for Mother's Day

    I had a wish for Mother's Day, a wish for a bouquet of Peonies. They are more voluptuous than roses and open up bigger than I can possibly describe.

     These lush flowers grow on a bush and flower in May as one of the last spring gifts.

 
 I can't say exactly why I wanted them this year but they are making me happy every time I walk into the kitchen.
